All three win the prizes, they will be reserved over the next week or so.

Also, I find it a little bit funny to have "M" users all in the finale!

Leigh and I combined our reviews for each individual outfit, and wrote up an "overall" summary of our own. This way, it should be a bit less daunting to read through! We did not review the original outfit, but rather how well the new ones tie in with it, and their chosen theme based off of it.

MIKURA. - Formal Florals Task

1. Feedback on first outfit HERE

2. Love the double dress, which makes a formal two-toned look out of typically nightclub styled items. The hair-matching clutch is also a nice touch! A belt might have been good to break up the dress a little bit, it seems bulky as-is.

3. Bad choice in colour and cut with the pants, made worse by the shoes. The tie and top look cute, but overall it's very plain.

4. Best of this bunch! Awesome subtle flower and lace pieces. Nice pastel palette, combines different white but looks great doing it. There's a bit of texture here, and the long hair adds to it without distracting too much. Could do with a small bag.

5. Too many different blues here.Top, pants, necklace and shoes are very casual, a "beach house vibe, but the bag is more city-chic.
OVERALL:

LUCY -  I'm really happy with the theme of this, it works to her skills very well. It's formal, feminine, and classic. They all look like they'd hang out together, and mix their clothes together. Two points down though is that, the last two don't seem to match the original requirements as well as I'd hoped, and second, while the first three all match shoes, the last two don't. This could have worked if the last two matched each other, but they don't, so it ended up looking inconsistent.

LEIGH - I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not, but I like that she made two pants, and two dress/skirt outfits! They are a bit less formal than the original one as the task called for, but that's not really a major issue to me. I am really liking how it starts and also ends with the floral necklaces, with all the little earring details in between, often people forget those!

XmackennaX -  Same Tights (Woman Woman)

1. Feedback on first outfit HERE

2. Love the stacoins only concept, wouldn't have guessed it if not for the caption! Super trendy with the cold shoulder, sneakers, a waist belt. The gold girly clutch interrupts the tomboy vibe a bit, but it does match the pants and lips.

3. Absolute favourite look. Super fun, bubbly, a great reflection of all her looks this cycle. Who thought blue lipstick could look this good? Perfect!

4. Really like the lace dress, coat and shoes. The pants work here, but aren't as much the focus as in other looks, which isn't a bad thing, just different. The choker is also unnecessary.

 5. Layering the tights looks cool, the colour scheme is fun and the orange pops from the rest of the looks. But, the sunglasses are confusing, because this looked more "Autumn" than "day on the beach" without them
Overall:

LUCY -  These outfits remind me of a girl gang - they're not the same, but they're fiercely loyal
- closet sharing required.. Each has such a different vibe but they all go back to making those bright tights the star. That her doll changed over the course of the week she was making them in only adds to that. I wish there had been something else to connect them all though, like a lipstick or shoe.

LEIGH - So into this right now, these are really bold and I can't think of anyone else who's worn these tights so well and for so many different looks! It really wraps up everything we've seen from her all cycle, super fun, pink, and unafraid of crazy, using the first ever look is really showing of how much she's grown.   Like Lucy, I also wished she'd added just something to really make them go together a little more, because in making such different styles I am unsure these would work up on a runways, even if I could seem them sitting together at fashion week.

Manzaniithaa - "Glam Punk Inspired" (Semi-Final)

1. Feedback on first outfit HERE

2. Love the continuation of flared pants and the sheer body. Belt is very random, bag would have been nice.

3. Again, cool to see sheer, the leather/silk look is a neat contrast to the frill top. The bag is too chunky for such a delicate look though.

4. Liking the bold pop of pink, and the textured pants and jacket. Missing a bag and some jewelry - if not for the pink, this would be very plain.

5. Love this one! The stripes tie back to the original outfit, as does the high-wasted pants. The way the sleeves poke out also adds depth to the look. The floral shoes are a bit of a weird choice, but they do go with the shirt of the previous look.

LUCY: I'm definitely into the way she used the silk coat 3 times, it makes it look coherent, and the other items that tie the other looks together meant they don't look out-of-place. Not fond of the way she used gold in all of these, since the first outfit established it as being silver. The fourth look to me isn't as glam as the rest of them, either.

LEIGH - Even though her theme was loosely "glam punk", it isn't the first thing that I see with the newer looks, but all the same as a group these almost go together. Almost, because of the pink top, it would have been nice to see pink somewhere else here for that to work more. What I do like is that there's a lot of textures (Isn't that usually Lucy's comment?) going across them all. They're all tied together by things, even if they aren't the same items - like, 1 & 2 have high waisted flares and a crop top, 3&4 have high necklines with contrast tops, 4&5 have high waisted, crumpled pants. And there's also the silk coat repeating, and chunky heels! But I do have to agree with Lucy, that they all use gold when it started with the silver is a bit weird. Changing 3's bag for a silver clutch and earrings would have done enough I think.

OUR WINNERS ARE:

VIEW PART 2 HERE

VOTING WINNERS:

I spun WHEELDECIDE.COM for the results! You'll need to message sunnysidessue or leighways to confirm.

FIRST : GINGERZARAH

SECOND : KATYPERRYCUPCAK

RESULTS:

We averaged the judges' scores and voting tally (most votes = 10/10 , least votes 6/10)

Unfortunately we are saying goodbye to Elyssedeloro. The competition is closing in VERY quickly!
xmackennax - 7.75

elyssedeloro - 6.5

Mazaniithaa - 7.75

gingerzarah - 7

Mikura. - 7.25

Room Task:

It was fun judging this and seeing who chose what - we're getting oh-so-close to the final, too!
This time, I had my classmate and fashion enthusiast Emmett as the third judge because, as I mentioned before, it just didn't feel fair having only two people involved. I decided to round these scores to the nearest .0 / .25 / .5 since there are so few left in the comp.

Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to GingerZarah.

I'll have Part 1 up very soon for the last task.

Mikura.  Beach House - 7

LEIGH : I instantly think nautical and beach days when I look at this! Initially the flowers threw me off but then I noticed them in the image, it's a nice little detail. Mostly I think this is missing a shrug or a necklace, just ... something small.

LUCY : Awesome to see the use of striped, floral and wood tones as shown in the room. I think I'd have liked something extra just like Leigh, maybe a belt or a shrug - even a little bit of swimsuit peeking out from under the dress would have added some depth.

EMMETT : This looks real simple, a swimsuit as Lucy put would be cool because it already looks like something you'd thrown on quick.

XmackennaX Young Lady - 7

LUCY : I'm not surprised she chose this room, it's so cute and pink! The outfit is very eclectic, as you'd expect a little girls' look to be. I get that her scarf was supposed to match the blanket texture, but I don't think it really works with the otherwise more summery vibe.

LEIGH : I think this outfit is super winter on the top with the jacket and the scarf and layers, but spring on the bottom, that's kind of weird to me as it doesn't jell overall. I'm surprised Lucy didn't mention but it also would have been nice if her lip colour matched the rest of the pale pink. All that said, it's still super cute and girly and I can totally see a girl in this outfit in this bedroom.

EMMETT I'm not much of a girly-girl myself but I can really appreciate that the lace skirt and scarf both look like parts of the room details.

GingerZarah Colour Contrasts - 6.5

LUCY : Instantly, I'm sad she used barely any blue in her outfit. The room is called contrasts because orange and teal are opposites on the colour wheel - I was hoping whoever chose it would use those colours together. She's only got the smallest amount on her bag. As an outfit, this is very Coachella season,  and trendy. Those shoes are very hard to pull off and she has here by combining their tones into the rest of the outfit.

LEIGH : I'm also a bit sad at the lack of the blue in this. I do see she chose two really hard pieces in this, the skirt and the shoes, so she is challenging herself but not in the way I expected of this room. Also, the long hair in this case it doesn't cover anything essential, but just in general, less coverage is more outfit.

EMMETT: I'm also sad not to see much of that blue, it could have made this pop when it just looks like another pinterest look to me. That skirt is very loud though so have to give credit for trying it, but she doesn't really go with the room for me.

Elyssedeloro Living Brightly - 6.75

LUCY : Really loving the use of colour, it goes perfectly with the study room! The vintage, summery vibe works really well. I'm also liking the little gold accessory pieces, but the giant, awkwardly placed bag lets this down.

EMMETT : It's sad she used to flared pieces because otherwise this could be cute. The double balloon shape is just super unflattering and I just can't see anyone pulling that off, anywhere.
Sidenote, the hair works for this because it's so librarian for the study.

LEIGH : The colours are exactly what I was thinking for this room, right down to the little brown sandals like the floor and chair legs and shelves! The bag does look odd, as does the silhouette so I'm kind of on the fence about it.

Manzaniithaa Goth & Glam  - 8

LUCY : I instantly liked this one! The necklace and earrings are very chandelier-esque, the silk robe and sheer diamante top are so luxurious but the all-black makes her seem oh-so-mysterious. My favourite this week - though, maybe next time a bra or singlet under the top would be a good idea. It just makes it look a bit more polished.

LEIGH : Sort of disappointing that she didn't use and of the gold, but he outfit stands both on its own and with the room anyway. There's a lot of detail in it that really makes this pop a lot.

EMMETT: This seems like someone who attended the party theme, rather than organised it, if you get what I mean, the lack of gold as Leigh pointed at and just the way it's on theme, but doesn't really contain the decor all that much. I like it as a look very much so, it's very modern and glam but dark and creepy at the same time.

April 03, 2017

I had a very stressful past two weeks and THEN my internet went out. But I'm super glad to see everyone participated this week - although sadly, we have to say goodbye to Maymiex. There was a mere 0.03 points in difference in the end.

  1. xMackennax - 8.81
  2. elyssedeloro - 8.06
  3. MAZANIITHAA - 7.93
  4. Gingerzarah- 7.58
  5. Mikura- 6.93
  6. Maymiex- 6.90

XMACKENNAX - 8.81

LUCY - Really like the way she's matched the stripey top and silver turtleneck to the stripey silver shoes! Very clever and subtle. Not sure the skirt works though, it's very formal in an otherwise relaxed look - jeans would have looked more on theme.

LEIGH - Hey, I liked the skirt! And the clutch as well. Some more accessories would have been nice like a necklace or scarf or something, make it ab it more street than it is right now, as Lucy said it's sort of not quite working to one theme or another.

ANNIKA- Once again, we get a fun and expressive look from you! Your looks always make me smile. I love that you used silver, black and white. The clutch ties in to this outfit perfectly. I have to say, though, it would be boring if you hadn't found this perfect pair of shoes to spice it up.

WI.BI - I loved your monochrome style! so edgy! agree with Annika, your submit is always good and i always wait every week! good job hun!

MAYMIEX - 6.90

LEIGH - Careful with the cropping, your doll lost the top of her head here! I like the top and dress, it's very simple, very classy. Not to sound repetitive but I thing this could do with accessories as well, even just like a necklace to match with the bag chain.

LUCY - Not quite so sure if those boots and that bag really work together, especially with the shirt being white, with off white accessories. It's a very clean look, though, and the dress-shirt combo looks great together!

ANNIKA - I personally felt that this look was a little bit basic. The shoes don't match the clutch, so it looks like there are four colors in the outfit. I would also have liked to see some cool accessories. We want your look to tell a story- right now it falls flat.

WI.BI. - Pretty and simple. but too simple for me. it's seems that you can wear a lot of things. but i love your idea.

MIKURA - 6.93

LEIGH - This could have done with a belt I think. Really surprised she's gone for such crazy colours but I think it has really worked out! Not fond of those shoes but they do match the rest of he outfit.

LUCY - Also not fond of those shoes. Also think a belt would have been nice. Not much to add really, Leigh covered it all!

ANNIKA - Cool look! I love that you chose a print over a long sleeved top. A bit nineties, however, reminds me of one of those shirts where the sleeve was literally sewn on to it.

WI.BI - Nice style. love the color. and the yellow bag help the color more great. but I think you can do better than this. this is nice but not great at all.

MAZANIITHAA - 7.93

ANNIKA - Very neat! I love your use of the lace sleeves under such a tough outfit. It says, I'm a tomboy, but I'm a woman too. Very innovative. It's too bad the moto jacket covers it up when you put it on.

WI.BI - Yes! I love this one. I agree with Annika in everything. maybe you could use leather jacket with one hand only.

LEIGH - I'm glad you showed that the moto jacket was an option, but it didn't really do anything for the look at all. I like the choice in the sheer floral sleeves, it's subtle and feminine.  Don't really like the boots.

LUCY - The top-and-sleeves is totally perfect! I'm not fond of those boots either, the top flare of them is odd. A bag might have been nice but I actually like how casual and totally street ready this is.

elyssedeloro - 8.06

LEIGH  - Love love love the layering and monchrome, especially with the pop of the red lips! A silver clutch would have been a nice touch to go with the earrings, belt and shoes.

ANNIKA - Beautiful job! You are the first contestant so far who has taken the risk of using a billowing sleeve. This definitely gives you an edge. It's so beautiful and elegant with this long sleeved dress. The belt and earrings are just right. But why haven't you chosen a handbag? You must always complete the look.

LUCY - Case of the missing bag! Usually I'm not fond of off-white with black and silver but I think it this case it works really well. I especially love the little bit of the neckline we can see popping up from under the dress. Not so sure the shoes sell it, but they do match with the silver items.

WI.BI - I actually i don't like the bottom part of your dress. but the from the head to your waist is perfect! Elegant, gorgeous and classy! and every accessories you wear is great!!!
The_Doll_House - Task 6 - Sleeves on Sleeves

GINGERZARAH - 7.58

ANNIKA - Great job! This long sleeved top is so cute. I love that it is sheer and has little red details, they tie in well with the red in the pant. This looks like something a fun teenager would wear any day!

LUCY - I really like the different combinations of red, usually I'd not be into that sort of thing but it looks very fun in a skater-girl way. That necklace needs to go - grey with gold CAN go ( wrote a post on this), but not with this look. Secondly the shark bag is maybe i the wrong hand, or the pants should have been in front of it or...something.

LEIGH - Not those shoes!!! Nooooo. Maybe if they had been red or grey??? (Not that necklace, either...). As Lucy oftn points out, different shades of the same colour can often clash, but here they look a lot of fun so a big thumbs up for that! I like the quirky choice in bad and the lengths in the shirts sleeves.

March 09, 2017

Leigh - Sorry for awful formatting.

Lucy - if you state you picked something specifically which we don't usually judge eg. a hair, we can give you a comment on that but not include it in when we rate you. Same goes for if you want to make a "fun" outfit. Just so you know :)

Kelzsprouse_1 - 7.66

LUCY - I love what she's done with creating the entire central part of the outfit in red, with a contrasting jacket. It's super bold, bright, but wouldn't look at odds on the street today. I'm not quite sure I like the shoes, but they do go with the black lip and hair. However, my personal pet peeve is screaming at me because that clutch just does NOT go with the rest of the red.

Leigh -
I like the top half with a little textured leather and the knit in there which is cool but I'm not really feeling this one, I think maybe it's all the red. Going all out is all good but I feel like she needed something to break this up more. Like a belt. And maybe not those shoes.

Annika
I love this outfit! It feel really modern and monocromatic to me. The bright tights don't look really out of place on your doll. However, I'm guessing in real life that the red leather skirt would be too dark to be paired with them. I love how you drape the jacket over this look, as well. Great look!

XmackennaX - 8.96

LUCY -  This is definitely something I myself would wear IRL! I like that she added a pattern to the tights rather than went with plain coloured - it's definitely an update but still fits the theme requirements. I do feel like the top half of this is very formal though and the bottom casual, which I think could have been changed with a loose jacket or a different necklace.

Leigh
- This is just way too cute! It's a little edgy but also kinda school teacher -slash-nerd. Very nice. Really into the patterned - bug colored! - tights as well. Personally I think the bag may be too but g though it's not bad, I do like the style of it otherwise.

Annika

Nice job! I like how much the tights peep out from under the tunic top. You used accessories well, the white handbag looks beautiful. I love how the details are used. The lace sleeves on your blouse are lovely, and so is the gold collar on the tunic. You've done so well in this contest so far! You are definitely on a great track.

Ellysedeloro - 8

LUCY - I love this super quirky dress! This has a very "mod" vibe about it, but there's a lot of texture, layering and thought gone into this that brings it into the now. However, I just don't get the accessories as a whole. I like the black bangle and sheer bag, but they don't go well together. I do like the earrings, but definitely the pink choker has to go as it doesn't tie in with any other part of the outfit.

Leigh -
Other than the pink necklace, I really like this one! There's lots going on in it but it's not overwhelming because it's mostly black and layered under the main "mod" dress. It's a cool vintage homage and I like the nag and bangles myself! One is modern, one is less so, it's contrast .

Annika

This dress itself is a new take on polka dots! I love that you found this piece. Although the dress itself is edgy, this look is girly. That's because of the sparkly tights and pink accents you used in the choker. Since this look seems formal, I think you could have done better with a nice pink clutch then the sling handbag. I love you style otherwise!

The_Doll_House - Cycle 1 - Task 3 - Make an Old Trend Look New

GingerZarah - 7.91

LUCY-
This is a very classic, classy look with a BIG  pop of colour! I like that she kept it simple, because Neon is a super tricky colour to balance out, and she's done that well here. I like that even her makeup ties in - it's also colourful but just simple enough not to clash, which again, is important with neon.  A necklace might have been nice but certainly isn't necessary.

Leigh
- I don't know, I want to like this but my initial impression is it's just really simple. Neon is definitely hard to do right and I think with all the white she pulled it off, it's simple and chic but she needs , something to make it real glamorous, complete the look. Maybe a big floppy hat?

Annika -

What an awesome take on this trends! The white tailored suit was a great idea. I like that you used neon yellow instead of green or pink. The jewelry accessories are lovely. I wish you had glammed it up a bit more, however, with a necklace or hat. What we are looking for here if for you is to go all out!

Mikura.  - 6.91

LUCY -
First things first - that bag is waaaaaaaaaaaay too big. Not sure what was going on there, but it needs to go. She has made an edgy take on leopard print, going for combat boots and lots of black, while still using a lot of it. But overall, there's just not a lot to this look, and other than that ridiculously large bag, it's a bit forgettable. Some layers and textures would have been nice - like some fur or a sheer underskirt.

Leigh -

Well that is ... A really big bag. I think she chose one of the harder tasks and did not make it look dated so props to that, there's just not much here the judge other than that massive bag. Seriously, I can't look at anything else and I don't think that's a good thing. Less is more.

Annika -
Well, to be honest, I don't see a new take on this trend. Perhaps if you had made it less the focus of the outfit, like just done it in the sock and jacket, I would like it better. The huge handbag seems very out of place even though it is the same pattern as the rest. But I love the detail how you chose to wear combat boots with the leopard print socks. Better luck next time!

Maymiex - 6.91

Leigh -

Is that neon? I don't really get the neon out of this. Colurblocking, maybe? I like the shape of it, it's very modern and trendy with the flared pants and a cropped top, I could really see this on a beach somewhere.

ANNIKA -

Cute job! You look like you are at the beach on the hamptons. I like the patterns in the pants and the handbag you chose. Very simple, sweet take. However, I don't think the colors are bright enough to count as neon. Like Leigh says, this would be better defined as a take on color blocking.

LUCY -

First impression? This isn't really neon at all, besides maybe the hair, and even that isn't all that bright. As an outfit, this is really basic, it reminds me of something I'd see on one of Stardoll's store mannequins. I like the earrings, but the delicate bag with a bulky bracelet doesn't do it for me.

MANZANIITHAA - 7.66

Leigh -

This is really bold and bright which I'm definitely becoming more of a fan of. That fur is super hard for styling but the pant pull it together really well. I feel like the shoes and the necklace are a bit plain though, and I think i would have liked it more with white like in the pants rather than black accessories.

Annika -

Cool, cool, cool! I like this look. It's simple and bold, which is definitely what color blocking is all about. I'm a little critical of the black tie necklace. I feel like all of the shapes in the outfit are geometrical, they cut across your figure. However this necklace dangles down your upper chest and is unappealing in the formal look.

LUCY - Very nice! It's totally retro in terms of the print, but the choker, fur and tube top are totally more a thing of today's world. There feels like there's a little something "wow" that's just not quite there, though. Possibly a more glam necklace, like Annika mentioned, because personally I feel it's too simple for such a loud, bold look.

February 27, 2017

Had a bit of an issue because the imgur link was ... well. http://imgur.com/a/OSExa

Which includes "s e x". Which stardoll did NOT like me posting.

Anyway! Here are all the exemplars. I'll update it with the descirrptions in greater detail when I get home.

Neon by Sunnysidessue

In the past, neon was warn all-over - you went all out, or you just didn't bother. It was super feminine and filled with pinks and prints,. But, I think that neon - like anything when paired with the right amount of black - can take make a super edgy, popping statement look.

Leopard Print - Leighways

I remember reading somewhere about how leopard prints were really neutrals, so since they're normally the main focus, I modernised by making it into a base colour - or should I say print? - instead of being the focus of the outfit.

Colour Blocking -

I made a second one for the Colour Blocked them - modernised by using current trend like turtleneck, off-the-shoulder, wide leg pants, oversized bags and layering shirts.

Bright Tights - AnnikaCharmer

The trend I chose was neon tights. The new way to wear them which I would try to start here would be to layer tights going up from your hips to your waist on top of each other. Each color stands out as a stripe xD It's even cooler when you layer fishnet tight or tights with a pattern in between, but stardoll is just so limited on options.

Polkadot Dress - Sunnysidessue

These days, if it isn't neutral and sheer, you're probably doing it wrong. So that's how I upgraded the trend, which is typically solid coloured and accompanied by bold accessories. I also added a second print, since in the last 7 years or so, print mixing has been a definite staple if you want to make your outfit a little different from the rest.

Kelzsprouse_1 - 8.62

Lucy - I LOVE THIS!!! There's texture, there's fur, there's lace, there's everything a girl could need in a nicely wrapped, neutral palette! I'm super pleased with the choose to layered dresses over loose pants, it could have looked shabby but she's totally pulled it off. The only thing I don't like is the black bag, as a brow one would have matched the rest just a little better.

LEIGH - I'm with Lucy, I really like all the texture in this, especially with the neutrals, it's very cool but not over the top. But, there's something off with her accessories - bag because, as Lucy mentioned, they're black, the glasses just look humongous and not in a good way, and I'm not quite sure what's going on around the neck? Or the gold eyebrow jewelry.

ANNIKA  - What a classy outfit! This looks like something a rock star would wear to a music awards show. I love the black and white. This hot dress makes what would otherwise be a boring white-on-white ensemble into something glamorous. I also like the red handbag.

WI.BI - oh yeah! I really like the minimalist style like this. That pants and shoes combined with white dress makes the dress become bright and visible. I agree with Leigh about the accessories. I think, the rings and bag is too bold for this casual style, but I kinda like the necklace.Looks sweet. and lastly, I also don’t know what happened at the neck, but that thing is still safe as long as suite with the color and style.

GingerZarah - 8.81

Lucy - This is cute! I really love that she went for a classic, clean colour set, this has a very office chic vibe to it. The way she used white under the black dress makes for a very nice contrast. I am a little sad that you can see the shirt sides poking out, but and I feel like a blazer would have made more sense than a biker jacket.

LEIGH - I actually like the jacket, I think it makes it a bit more edgy! The suit look is awesome, the red lips and clutch are a great use of just a little colour. I do agree with Lucy though on see this shirt poke out, it's not a big issue just would have been nice to cover up with like a longer jacket or something.

Annika - What a classy outfit! This looks like something a rock star would wear to a music awards show. I love the black and white. This hot dress makes what would otherwise be a boring white-on-white ensemble into something glamorous. I also like the red handbag.

WI.BI - Okay, b&w is never odd! This style is very great. It’s kind of one style that can you wear for any event (concert, meeting, hangout). I love when someone be creative with her/his outfit. This is creative, bold and edgy! The glasses is cool and i love the red handbag. Maybe you can wear some red lipstick for matching that handbag. One of my favorites!

Manzaniithaa - 7.25

Lucy - Ditch those shoes, for starters. I love the burgundy pants with the red toned dress and brown cape, they're all different shades that compliment each other well. But the black shoes don't really go with anything - a burgundy, brown or even red shoe would have tied in better. I'm a bit undecided on the clutch, probably having it layered on the other hand would have been fine, it just looks awkward in from of the cape.

ANNIKA - The red and brown tones in this look are beautiful. However, the only part of the outfit which seems like work attire are the shoes, and they don't match the outfit. I like the sweet dress and cape. The red bag accentuates the colors in the dress. I think that although you said were inspired by work attire, this is a better look for a more casual occasion. Great look! I'd wear this to the library on a study date!

LEIGH -

Have to agree with both the other judges about all of this. Like the colours, love the choice in pants, don't like those shoes and the bag looks really weird there.I think maybe some sort of belt or maybe like a petticoat would have been nice to break this up a little bit as well. I do think it looks formal, but more like office worker formal than date-night formal.

WI.BI -

When the Dress meet the Blazer. That is the only one I loved about your style. Very sweet and chic. For the shoes, maybe you can wear some boots or heels with some detail in front. For the clutch hmm no. I prefer you wear bags than clutch. For additional, some jewelry (necklace/earring) could make your look more sweet & lovely.

Maymiex - 7.56

LUCY - My initial issue is, this is almost more of a long shirt than a dress, but I think it still meets the requirements. I love the flared pants because they've got a little texture, and the shape of them reflects that of the half-dress side, which balances the look out.

LEIGH - I too thought this was more top than dress but it is pretty long on the dressy half. I DO love those pants, I DON'T like that clutch. The colour is good it's just the tassel bits are really glam and overdone when the rest of the outfit is very toned down.

ANNIKA - I understand that this was a hard idea to implement, but sadly your outfit is my least favorite so far. The colors do look okay together, and the handbag matches great. But this silhouette is strange. Over top of wide leg trousers, you put on a half up-half down top which goes down below your knee. Perhaps you could have used a dress underneath of the gray top to add another dimension and some more detail to the look? On top of that, the way you hair is styled seems to get in the way of the oufit and blends in to the color too much. Experiment with some bright colors in your looks! It's great that you took a risk with this outfit, but it just isn't working for you today.

WI.BI - I love this risky style. I mention risky because if you don’t do it right, you’ll look more weird than unique. But seriously, I love this style. I love the clutch. That top maybe looks casual but if you look closer, that top is looked expensive & elegant. My tips: if you want to wear oversized, please pick just one item. Top, pants, or outerwear. But this top is kind of awkward. Maybe you can add some outerwear - maybe top and do some creativity by mix&match. The one thing I loved for your style is the color! From head to toe is incredible!

Mikura. - 7.31

LUCY - I really like the floral theme, and the fact that she went straight for jeans! This is super casual, and I like her choice in colour palette. And, yes the tress up hair works perfectly! If would have been nice to see a clutch, maybe even a should bag, or some sort of necklace, because it seems a little plain as is.

ANNIKA - Cool idea! This reminds me of street style. However, I would say that you should put on some tight pants under this shirt dress. The look isn't very pretty because the top falls almost to your knees and then from there to above your ankles, it''s baggy and your legs disappear in a mess. What are you trying to hide? You should also have added some accessory, such as a backpack or bracelet. Don't let an expensive antidote top steal all the attention .

LEIGH - Very simple but I'm into the floral theme, and even better that she's gone with the new ANTIDOTE - always good to keep the look fresh and relevant. It would have been nice to have a thinner pant, or even just one with some shape to it, because like Annika pointed out, this isn't really flattering on the doll, it hides all her curves and good bits. I also agree with everyone that it's missing a little accessory, maybe even just a red lip would brighten it a bit? But I'm definitely happy to see she went for the tress up hair! It shows off the outfit and still looks great.

WI.BI - I LOVED THIS ONE! Like a street dance style. Unfortunately you missed a lot of thing for this great style. For me, accessories is really important. For any kind of style, i should wear accessories. This style is already great but missed in anything. Sorry . btw, I definitely agreed with Leigh for always good to keep the look fresh and relevant!

XmackennaX - 7.68

LEIGH -  I like the pops of pink! Very classy. I don't know how I feel about her pants choice, like a tailored pant could have looked nicer and would have gone with the whole "suit and tie" vibe I think but as an outfit it's otherwise really cute.

ANNIKA - Sweet look! I'm always a sucker for pink, judging by your last two outfits, you are too There is no problem here with the colors or accessories. But I would suggest that next time, you would change the pants from baggy ones to tight ones or wear a shorter skirt. Like Maymiex, your legs get drowned and the outfit loses some of it's classiness.

LUCY: Now it's my turn to agree with my fellow judges! Definitely a tighter pant would have looked better, though I can understand if you were trying to avoid making it look like pantyhose - which tight pants easily could with this kind of skirt, so maybe a leather or black denim? Either way, loving your colour choices, this is a very classic look overall and I can't wait to see more!

WI.BI - Okay, every item is a great stuff. But the one thing I didn’t suit is the pink skirt. The skirt is great but your pants is too wide. Just wear another item for the bottom parts. Maybe the pants is good if you wear some over a loose dress.

Dreamin2believe - 7.18

ANNIKA- Beautiful job! That long vest is the centerpiece of this look, and the bag and shoes provide some interest with their details. It's a nice business look. However, the red scarf you chose clashes with this outfit. I understand if you were trying to add a third color, but this was not the way to do it.

LEIGH : Great start! The dress and pants are a really god combo, especially with the white slit which not only matches the pants but is just a really cool kind of shape. Personally, I feel the opposite to what Annika wrote - I love the scarf and would have loved to see more of that colour, but to me the shoes and bag really are the wrong kind of style and colour and shape, they clash to me.

LUCY - I'm leaning more towards Leigh's opinion here- simply because her lipstick and hair tone in really well with the scarf in terms of colours, while the bag and shoes are really boho with a more classic dress. That and I just have a thing for deep red right now.

WI.BI - I love this monochrome & edgy style. But I think this is too simple. The bag and the scarf didn’t help. Maybe you can find something match with the color of your shoes. But overall this is really good!

Elyssedeloro - 8.62

LUCY - ooh I love the colours!

Wi.Bi -  WOW! This is like 80’s style! Loved this. Glamour but still elegantand a lil bit touch of casual. Loved this so much! I don’t think that transparent bag or parfume or whatever is that is necessary for this. even you don’t wear bag is still good though. Nice job!

The_Doll_House - Cycle 1 - Task 2 - Pretty As Pants

February 20, 2017

If you didn't already know, I've opened up my own club!

The club, which is called The_Dolls_House, is a fashion cycle. The weekly themes are based entirely around real-world runways and trends in general, starting this week with menswear - on women!

The judges - Leighways, Wi.Bi, AnnikaCharmer and myself - each submitted their own take on the trend to get our contestants inspired, which you can check out HERE.

EDIT - I just realized Annika's look is not in the imgur album. My mistake, sorry.

I've decided that - up until the semi-finals - I will be posting my stylings of each weeks theme after I've posted the results. I will continue to provide an example prior to the task, but I think it will be a fun challenge to myself to create at least a handful of my own versions, so to better judge them later on. It gives me an idea of what's the hardest part of each challenge, like with this one, where I found it was a choice of using awkward fitting shirts or posed pants. Personally, I ended up sticking to the shirts as they were easier to layer and hide the issues with.

1 - Famous T Shirt Fallen Angel

With this look, I stuck with an edgy-but-feminine vibe. I'll admit it - I've become more than a little bit attached to the poofy sleeves of the Balmain Inspired Corset Blouse from the Balmain tribute. The main issue I find with mens' shirts on girl dolls is the sleeve shape doesn't match up with the arms properly, so why not make a statement out of it?

2 - Bill T-Shirt Fallen Angel

Definitely aimed for a much more masculine, my-boyfriends-t-shirt look here. The shape of the shirt was ridiculous - it didn't fit my doll, at all, a fact I decided to cover up using the Antidote Off The Shoulder Coat. The coat, earrings and jacket are all oversized, so I decided to even it out with stilettos and skinny jeans.

3 - Shell Basic Boy Tank Basics

I'd layered the bandeau and lace tank for a previous outfit, and when I spotted the boys' tank I knew just what to do!  The main body of the outfit is casual, laid back and  relaxed - like a boy - but I added the gold, chunky accessories for a bit of added class.
