I'm finally off work, so I challenged myself....to making one outfit per starplaza clothing store.

I often find myself avoiding stores - just because, on principal, they don't seem like my style. I wanted to challenge that idea, by making one outfit per Starplaza regular ladies' clothing brand.

I did not use Limited stores (Antidote, Callie's, LE, Runway) or Mr as I wanted to stick with the everyday stores. I also tried my best to avoid using items that I own and use often - though, that proved rather difficult!

I've written a commentary under each set of outfits about my final thoughts on the stores. Make sure to click the pictures to enlarge them!

BASICS - There's so many useful items in Basics! I love that I can make so many layered designs and only spend staroins. I was super happy with the end reslut - excluding the bag, maybe.

9TO5 - This store was such a pain to try and style items with - the poses don't layer well together, and many of the other items are too specifically themed to work with the poses either. I also noticed a glitch where the buttons for the "dark" version of a pose is switched with the "medium". I don't mind how the outfit turned out. The brown accessories were nice, it's just not something I'll likely ever wear again.

Pretty N Love - I still can't bring myself to wear half so much pink as if found in PNL. That's not to say I hated everything, and in fact, I quite liked a lot of the outerwear. Overall, it's not a bad store, I just don't like the colour pink enough to go on a shopping spree there.

Wild Candy - Oh, where does one start with WC? There were lots of patterns, bright colours, and things that screamed "I'M FROM A 5 YEAR OLDS CLOSET". Initially, I tried channeling my inner Party Kei girl, but it wasn't working. I switched to making something sort of edgy, which looks fine, but just doesn't capture this store or my own style the way I was hoping it would.

Active - Again, not a style I'm personally fond of. Ultimately, though, there really wasn't many items to choose from, so I gave in and went matchy-matchy. Definitely don't like this look, but the alternatives were no better.

Trails - I actually quite like trails, but trying to match items across different floors turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. Colour and print wise, they're all so bold and different from each other, that most combinations just didn't work for me. I went with classic reds, which I do love. Ultimately though, I preffer to layer my clothing than this.

The Jet Set - I found a lot to like in this store - but equally, a lot that I didn't. Equally annoying was the mixes of colours that didn't quite match right across the floors. I did like the end result outfit, though.

Bonjour Bizou - This store, I definitely liked! There were plenty of cute blouses and denim items - which are my go-to items for sure. I also found myself really liking this vest, which I didn't expect.

Pearls - Definitely not my usual style, but with plenty of individual items that I liked. The final outfit isn't ideal but I struggled to find a bottom-top combo that worked. I do like the bandana accessories more than I'd thought I would! Note- I made the outfit prior to the recent release.

Vinyl - I expected to love vinyl, seeing as I've bought quite a bit from the store. But I just kept finding myself making outfits that looked like they came off the mannequins, which wasn't what I wanted. I layered the lace dress over my outfit to add depth. I love the colours but it just looks flat to me.

Royalty - I never know how to feel about Royalty releases - they just so rarely live up to expectations. The floors are also all so different that it made it difficult to pair things together. I like the all-white with denim final outfit, though a plainer necklace would have served better.

Rio - Oh, how I HATED styling Rio! Nothing matched colour wise, the shapes were all bulky or short so layering was tricky, and don't even get me started on all the sequins. I don't like my final look, but there was just nothing else I could come up with. I just wanted to move on!

Velvet Orchid - This one was super tricky, because I knew I wanted to use the iridescent shorts - but they looked too much like underwear as they were, so I struggled to find something to layer under them. I'm super happy with the end look, though this store is probably better for single statement pieces than it is for a whole ensemble.

Nelly - Nelly is every girl's best friend when it comes to easy-to-wear, detailed, pieces. It's got everything from classics to on-trend items. Which made avoiding items I use often, way more difficult than I'd expected! I actually love the outcome, even so, as I never even knew this body suit existed.

Riviera - I'll remind you once again, that I absolutely love winter layering. An Riviera is...the complete opposite of that. The bags were so hideous, and the rest so far removed from my style, I don't think I was ever going to like the final outfit.

PPQ - There's a lot to love in PPQ - But also plenty to hate. It's such a hit-and-miss store with such a bizzare collection of items, I found it difficult to make a whole look that co-ordinated right. In the end, I was won over, though mostly just due to the abundance in black.

Voile - The sheer number of floors in Voile made me feel more hopeful than I probably should have been. Simply, I'm not the girly-girl this store aims to please. Pretty gowns and sparkles don't excite me all that much - nor the ridiculous prices of recent releases. I don't dislike the outfit - it just isn't me.

Other World - I wasn't going to use this store... but ultimately, I couldn't leave it out! I can't say I love the look, or really anything in the store, but I have to admit there's so intriguing statement items.

It Girls -  After the last couple of stores, getting to style this one felt awesome. I'm a sucker for all the denim, the trendy pieces, the layering options. It's a little too pastel and girly for my taste, but there's plenty of nice items to make up for that. I struggled to find any accessories I like, so made up for it with extra layers.

Fallen Angel - This store always makes me nostalgic for me former life. Yes, I was a Goth irl during much of my High School years. And much like me, this store has evolved away from those roots, though in the case of FA I'm not yet convinced thar's such a good thing. It definitely made it difficult to match clothing across the different floors.

Original Future - While I can definitely appreciate a number of pieces, overall, this store is just too loud and skater-esque for me. I like the neutral tones of outfit I ended up with, apart from the bag, but there rest were to ugly to even consider.

Windows On The World South Korea - This timely, Olympics released collection seriously lacked accessories, and the colours were a difficult set to work with. I love some pieces individually, but making a new look out of them was tricky!

Both Millionaire Mansion Fashion and Apres Ski would not let me purchase or put items in my cart as I don't own their associated rooms. I won't feign disappointment - neither store had all that many nice, usable pieces.

Wild Candy Couture - Not a store I believe I own much from. I'm just not a gowns kind of girl. There's noting to hate about this store, especially being starcoin-focused. It's just not my thing.

Stardoll Feat - There's not much to like in this store. The outfits and items could have been lovely - instead, we're left with award graphics, weird colour selections, and a total lack of accessories. Just as with WCC, I'm just not the feminine, gown-loving girl this is aimed at. That, and these prices are horrific.

MSW 17 - I'm  not sure why this is still in the plaza, but it is, so I used it. Same issues as WCC - I'm not a gown girl, there's not enough bags, and it's just not me. Plus, it's overpriced.

Tingeling Halloween Couture - I was determined to use the starcoin dress, and I don't mind the result. It's definitely more of a Halloween store than it's cousins, Tingeling and Fallen Angel, but there's definitely a few wearable items.
