Trend Review: Overalls

Maybe I'm a little late, but overalls are still in and I thought it was about time I gave them a good review. And by good, I mean realistic.

It's been a little while since I wrote one of these!


To be clear, I'm going to focus on the long, "full-length", pant-style overalls for this post.

While making my Polyvore picture, I realized that overalls really weren't as varied as I'd though they were. While there's a number of different prints and cuts, the majority are denim,structured, and boxy on top - which isn't at all flattering for many people. Which leads me to think that overalls are for a very small clique, which just doesn't make it a good trend to me.

In terms of updating, they're pretty difficult to alter. Most won't sit properly if the suspenders are removed so wearing them as plain jeans is not really an option, unless they're worn under layered shirts,which is just so inconvenient and not all that comfortable.

While they are super practical and make for easy, casual layering, they just aren't the best of trends on the whole.
