It's shoe season! It's the time of year when we're all trading in last seasons' shoes for the new best thing. So why not check out some alternatives for classic pieces first?

Pointed Pumps

Left - PPQ (11sd)
Middle - Pals (5sd)
Right -  (11sd)

These are such classic, authoritative shoes. They just scream of a bosslady, or a girl on a mission. Personally, I'd much prefer the right-hand pair - I love the shape, the colour, and that perfect pointed toe. The middle ones, although cheaper, just don't have that commanding pinpoint of an end, while the left-hand pair don't look like they sit quite right on my doll's feet.

Timberland Shoes

Left - Nelly (13sd)
Right - Trails (9sd)

Once a girls' best friend, now resigned to being a coachella staple and trampers favourite, Timberland boots are an unusual statement shoe. While I like the colour much better, the attempt to make the Nelly shoe more "realistic" backfires when worn - they end up looking way too chunky and oddly proportioned. But the shading is definitely superior to the Trails boot, which looks a bit flat. Overall, I'm calling this one a tie.

Patent Mary Janes

Left - Vinyl (9sd)
Middle - Pearls (7sd)
Right - Stardoll Feat (20sd)
Even without the price list, my absolute favoruite out of this bunch is the middle pair. It has a much nicer texture, chunkier shape, and just looks better on the doll. So when you add the 7sd pricetag, it's undeniably better than any of the other shoes.

Red Ballet Flats

Left - Callie's Picks (120sc)
Right - 9to5 (11sd)
Texture wise, colour wise, and style wise, I have no doubt that the 9to5 shoes are superior, but in all honesty, a plain pair of red flats just won't ever be worth stardollars.
