This time, I decided to focus on finding dupes for your everyday, casual, must-have items.

Vintage Cropped Denim

Left- It Girls (19sd)
Right - The Jet Set (22sd)

One reason you pay more for the second pair of jeans is how they're cropped - it's the "destructed" look with a higher front and lower back around the hem. On the other hand, the first pair has much more flattering pockets. But on the whole, these look very similar. They're cropped to the same spot, have the same knee shading, colour, same high waist, and overall shape. There's not a lot in it, for a 4sd difference. I'm certainly choosing to purchase the It Girls pair first.

White Word Crop Top

Left - Evil Panda Not Listening Tee
Right- Young Hollywood YH Staff Tshirt

White logo shirts are something most of us will own at least one of, although probably more. Besides the glaringly obvious fact that the YH tee is sold out, and significantly more expensive besides, there's a few unexpected advantages to the Evil Panda shirt that I noticed while trying to style these two. As it turns out, the YH shirt's longer flared sleeve makes it much more difficult to attempt to layer over. Being slightly-off-white doesn't help with matching colours to it, either. So, Evil Panda is definitely my winner.

Black Tights

Vinyl - Sheer Black Pantyhose (85 SC)
Voile Ladies - Voile Pantyhose (30 SC)
Voile Ladies - Black Tights (30 SC)

When it comes to starcoin items, it's tempting just to go for the first option you find. But there's nothing wrong with shopping around! The more expensive Vinyl ones have a little more shading, but personally I don't like having my doll's legs look so ridiculously shiny - and there's something super weird with the knee shading. The second pair is a little bit lighter but retains a little bit of shading, which is my personal preference. The final pair is a lot darker with less shading, but could be good for layering other patterned tights over to make pants.

Pearl Chokers

Voile (13sd)
Bonjour Bizou (120sc)
Voile (6sd)
Ms TQ (13sd)
Pearls (8sd)

Pearls can add a little pretty glam while not being over the top. While each of these necklaces look distinct when zoomed in, zooming out is another matter. They're all white or off-white, pearl shaped beads. While I don't think there's a distinct winner overall, my personal taste tells me the first two are the best for me, both being in-suite items, both being decidedly white or silver, and both with reasonable prices. However, if you're on a budget, the second and third chokers are both equally classic, multi-strand pearls that won't get in the way of your outfit. I do like the Pearls one, though it lacks the detail and uniqueness to make it worth stardollars, while the Ms Tq necklace is so utterly not my style - though, I can absolutely see a vintage styled doll wearing it well.

Will you be swapping out for a dupe?
