I recently went shopping IRL, and one print that was absolutely everywhere was.... stars?
Possibly, this is due to Matariki here in New Zealand, a type of New Years festival which happens at a different time each year, as according to - you guessed it - the stars. Although there's generally a country-wide accepted day to celebrate, some tribes do celebrate it based off of slightly different constellations or places of those constellations. Whenever it is celebrated, the result remains the same - we all spend a lot of time looking up at the stars in the sky. So why not add it to our clothing?
Or, it might be Wonder Woman's doing.
I am curious to see if this will be a New Zealand -exclusive trend. If Pinterest and Instagram are anything to judge by, at least some Aussies are on board!
Personally, I love that this trend can be as dreamy or edgy as you want it to be. There's big stars, little stars, embroidered stars, print stars, stud stars, all the stars anyone could want.

It's also not a trend that cars about what you look like. I'm often reviewing trends that look good on a select few people, or are difficult to find the right style of to suit the right skintone or body type. I'm happy to say that isn't an issue here!
It's also super easy to DIY - from iron-on patchs, to painting and pins, there's a lot of ways you can make items you already own fit this trend. It's a little more difficult to take off a print once the trend ends, but there's always festivals, patriotism and stargazing events to go to.
