Room Task:
It was fun judging this and seeing who chose what - we're getting oh-so-close to the final, too!
This time, I had my classmate and fashion enthusiast Emmett as the third judge because, as I mentioned before, it just didn't feel fair having only two people involved. I decided to round these scores to the nearest .0 / .25 / .5 since there are so few left in the comp.
Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to GingerZarah.

I'll have Part 1 up very soon for the last task.
Mikura. Beach House - 7
LEIGH : I instantly think nautical and beach days when I look at this! Initially the flowers threw me off but then I noticed them in the image, it's a nice little detail. Mostly I think this is missing a shrug or a necklace, just ... something small.LUCY : Awesome to see the use of striped, floral and wood tones as shown in the room. I think I'd have liked something extra just like Leigh, maybe a belt or a shrug - even a little bit of swimsuit peeking out from under the dress would have added some depth.
EMMETT : This looks real simple, a swimsuit as Lucy put would be cool because it already looks like something you'd thrown on quick.
XmackennaX Young Lady - 7
LUCY : I'm not surprised she chose this room, it's so cute and pink! The outfit is very eclectic, as you'd expect a little girls' look to be. I get that her scarf was supposed to match the blanket texture, but I don't think it really works with the otherwise more summery vibe.
LEIGH : I think this outfit is super winter on the top with the jacket and the scarf and layers, but spring on the bottom, that's kind of weird to me as it doesn't jell overall. I'm surprised Lucy didn't mention but it also would have been nice if her lip colour matched the rest of the pale pink. All that said, it's still super cute and girly and I can totally see a girl in this outfit in this bedroom.
EMMETT I'm not much of a girly-girl myself but I can really appreciate that the lace skirt and scarf both look like parts of the room details.
GingerZarah Colour Contrasts - 6.5
LUCY : Instantly, I'm sad she used barely any blue in her outfit. The room is called contrasts because orange and teal are opposites on the colour wheel - I was hoping whoever chose it would use those colours together. She's only got the smallest amount on her bag. As an outfit, this is very Coachella season, and trendy. Those shoes are very hard to pull off and she has here by combining their tones into the rest of the outfit.
LEIGH : I'm also a bit sad at the lack of the blue in this. I do see she chose two really hard pieces in this, the skirt and the shoes, so she is challenging herself but not in the way I expected of this room. Also, the long hair in this case it doesn't cover anything essential, but just in general, less coverage is more outfit.
EMMETT: I'm also sad not to see much of that blue, it could have made this pop when it just looks like another pinterest look to me. That skirt is very loud though so have to give credit for trying it, but she doesn't really go with the room for me.
Elyssedeloro Living Brightly - 6.75
LUCY : Really loving the use of colour, it goes perfectly with the study room! The vintage, summery vibe works really well. I'm also liking the little gold accessory pieces, but the giant, awkwardly placed bag lets this down.
EMMETT : It's sad she used to flared pieces because otherwise this could be cute. The double balloon shape is just super unflattering and I just can't see anyone pulling that off, anywhere.
Sidenote, the hair works for this because it's so librarian for the study.
Sidenote, the hair works for this because it's so librarian for the study.
LEIGH : The colours are exactly what I was thinking for this room, right down to the little brown sandals like the floor and chair legs and shelves! The bag does look odd, as does the silhouette so I'm kind of on the fence about it.
Manzaniithaa Goth & Glam - 8
LUCY : I instantly liked this one! The necklace and earrings are very chandelier-esque, the silk robe and sheer diamante top are so luxurious but the all-black makes her seem oh-so-mysterious. My favourite this week - though, maybe next time a bra or singlet under the top would be a good idea. It just makes it look a bit more polished.
LEIGH : Sort of disappointing that she didn't use and of the gold, but he outfit stands both on its own and with the room anyway. There's a lot of detail in it that really makes this pop a lot.
EMMETT: This seems like someone who attended the party theme, rather than organised it, if you get what I mean, the lack of gold as Leigh pointed at and just the way it's on theme, but doesn't really contain the decor all that much. I like it as a look very much so, it's very modern and glam but dark and creepy at the same time.
